Our company was founded over 40 years ago by scientists and public health professionals, all sharing a spirit of endeavor pioneered by Dr. Alice Hamilton and others at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Together our founders pooled their talents and resources, forming Material Analysis Consulting Services, Inc. (MACS), an occupational safety and health consulting firm based in the heart of Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area of California. MACS grew and expanded over the next four decades. Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint, Microbial/Mold, Mercury, Radon, Soot/Char/Ash, Lithium, and other Hazardous Materials management services were added to the MACS portfolio, meeting the changing needs of clientele throughout the country. Over the years, our team has grown to add qualified individuals who share common personal and professional values. Together, we have built a successful company dedicated to the ideals of integrity, professionalism, and fellowship, which is the foundation that was laid at the conception of MACS and is still present today.
